With more than 300 courts in all three Grand Slam surfaces, including grass, Hilton Head Island has earned the distinction of America's top spot for tennis. In fact, Hilton Head Island's top-ranked tennis facilities and programs have attracted tennis professionals and amateurs for years.

A mild climate and bright Carolina blue skies allow visitors to enjoy Hilton Head Island tennis year-round. In the case of rain, tennis enthusiasts can always take advantage of one of the Island's covered courts. Both novices and seasoned players can improve their game at a variety of tennis clinics, where both private and group instruction is available daily. The prestigious Van der Meer Tennis Center, one of the world's most renowned tennis schools and international headquarters of the U.S. Professional Tennis Registry, also offers daily lessons for players of all skill levels.
